  • For most people, not at all. Sometimes little babies get adjusted and don't even wake up.

If a person is in significant pain already, even very gentle adjusting may, of course, be uncomfortable, but for most people it is a small popping feeling, like when you click your knuckles. Obviously, the closer to your ears, the more you perceive that sound. Two year olds? It's most similar to hearing popping popcorn for a two-year old, most giggle in delight, the occasional child makes noise, pretty much as the child reacts to most other new things.

Dr Bryce always keeps you informed of what is going to happen and what to expect, so nothing is a big surprise.

  • Chiropractic is more about allowing optimal function to occur than decreasing backpain. The effects of having had a difficult birth, learning to walk, falling off trikes, bikes and junglegyms for example, can interfere with children's gorgeous spinal messages and decrease their potential. Our job is to remove any interference and let them heal up at their best. Chiropractic for children is very gentle.

  • Every new patient is assessed properly so their own body condition can be taken into account. Low force techniques have been developed for use in situations where extreme gentleness is required.

  • Chiropractic is a registered health profession. Most Chiropractic Colleges have a 4 - 6 year full-time undergraduate course before chiropractic students can attain their degree. Then they must sit Ministry of Health Board exams in New Zealand, before being registered and governed by the New Zealand Chiropractic Board. It is possible to train in New Zealand now, but wasn't when Dr Bryce was training. Dr Bryce was educated in Melbourne in a 5 year degree course, graduating in 1987.
